After almost 6 weeks in sanctuary, President Obama’s announcement of the new Deferred Action for Parental Accountability program has Arturo Hernandez and his family new hope.
Yesterday Arturo Hernandez’s wife, Ana Sauzameda, and his 2 daughters Mariana and Andrea have traveled all of the way to DC to file a motion to re-open his case because he qualifies for the new Deferred Action for Parents program.
We have an opportunity to make a hard push in the next couple of days to show that the community supports Artutro’s petition and help him win relief so he can leave sanctuary and join his family for the holidays.
Please take a second today to share and post this facebook meme in this link <http://org2.salsalabs.com/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=6Wh0EboAba%2FretJuxOsOt6JgDRrXgzDQ> to your faith communities and your personal facebook pages. SAMPLE SCRIPT: "Hello I'm calling to demand that ICE stop the deportation of Arturo Armando Hernández Garcia (A087-952-389) and grant him a stay of removal so he can apply for the new Deferred Action for Parental Accountability Program (DAP) . Arturo is a small businessman who has lived in the United States for more than 15 years. He is the father of two daughters, one an American citizen, and they need him at home. According to the new guidelines issued by the Obama Administration, Arturo Hernández is not a priority for deportation and he is a perfect example of someone who should qualify for discretion. Please review his petition and grant him a stay of removal so he can apply for the DAP program."
